A Day in the Life of a North Austin Realtor
I thought it might be fun to share what a typical day looks like for me as a Realtor here in North Austin. Every day brings its own surprises, but there are a few rhythms that guide me through.
My mornings usually start with coffee and a quick scan of the MLS. I like to see which homes are new to the market, which ones have gone under contract, and where sellers have adjusted prices. The Austin area market moves quickly, so staying up to date helps me serve my clients well.
After that, I spend some time checking in with clients. It may be a text to let a buyer know about a house that just popped up, or a call to a seller to walk them through what comes next in the process. I want each of them to feel supported, like they have someone in their corner.
The middle of my day can look different depending on what is happening. Sometimes I am out meeting buyers for showings, other times I am sitting with a seller as they prepare to list. I also like to carve out time for coffee meetings and community connections, because those relationships make me a stronger Realtor and neighbor.
Afternoons are often filled with more showings, paperwork, and negotiations. This is where I roll up my sleeves and get into the details. I enjoy working through the back-and-forth of a contract, making sure the numbers and terms align with my client’s goals. It is part strategy, part puzzle, and always rewarding.
Many evenings, you will find me at an event. It may be a Chamber of Commerce gathering, a nonprofit board meeting, or a local networking mixer. Being involved locally is one of the best parts of my work. It not only helps me grow as a professional, but it also keeps me connected to people and causes that matter.
By the time the day winds down, I am usually ready to put my phone away and enjoy time at home with my family. I am often tired, but it is the good kind of tired, the kind that comes from knowing I helped someone take a big step forward in their life.
So that is a little peek into what my days look like. Some coffee, a lot of conversations, plenty of contracts, and a whole lot of community.
